Les sorceleurs prefèrent les armes qui peuvent manier avec une seule main parce ceci les permet d'utiliser la main libre pour leurs signes. Parmi ces signes, il y a le Signe d'Aard, le Signe d'Igni, le Signe d'Yrden, le Signe de Quen, le Signe d'Axii et le Signe d'Heliotrope.

...Les sorceleurs se sont approprié ce sortilège en tirant profit du fait qu'il n'exige aucune formule magique: seuls suffisent la concentration et le geste. C'est pour cela qu'ils l'ont appelé Signe.

Modifications aux signes

La progression du personnage de Geralt lui permet de prefectionner ses compétences au cours du jeu. Selon ses choix, les attributs suivants This allocation can affect the following:

  • Intensité des signes/Puissance du signe - basically a multiplier for the severity of the sign cast
  • Durée des signes - used with signs like Quen and Yrden where the length of time a spell lasts is useful
  • Whether or not a sign can be "powered up"

Coût de lancement

The cost of casting a sign is typically measured in endurance. Casting signs uses up endurance and proficiency at casting those signs reduces the amount of endurance required to cast.

Notes

  • Léo, un apprenti sorceleur qui paraît uniquement dans le jeu, raconte à Geralt dans lePrologue qu'il ne peut utiliser les signes depuis qu'il s'est cassé les doits lors de son entraîment.
  • Les signes dans le jeu sont basés sur les Quatre éléments, et par leur nature et par leur symboles.
  • Un signe qui n'a enfin pas paru dans le jeu était le signe d'Aagni, une combinaison puissante des signes d'Aard et d'Igni.
